  1. Great Work here buddy, Keep it up… My ONLY request at the moments is, for you to please make preinstalled versions for Virtual Machines ie. .vmdk/.vdi for Virtualbox or VM ware. where we just hook the vmdk or vdi file to a virtual profile in the VM. it would be absolutely incredible..

Thanks again for your efforts into this

      1. Suggestion: Keep the jide system.sfs, mount the system.img into a new location, then use overlayfs as the new /system. This will let you keep a pristine (and upgradable) system.sfs while making system.img editable. Your changed would only be an overlay. I’m trying to get jide to support such a configuration as standard once I finish some other work.

  6. Need alternative install methods – not everyone wants to keep Windows around just to install another OS. Or at least post the grub.cfg and a basic note on how the /data directory needs to be set up to be recognized.

    1. I found a different method to install without a Windows pc. I used Ubuntu 16.04 on a usb stick in try mode. Used Gparted to format 2 partions on the hard drive. Sda1 100 mb ext4 turn on the boot flag. Sda2 ext4 for the rest of the hard drive space. Install Remix Os on Sda2 and grub on Sda1.

You will have to hit e during installation of Remix Os to set the install flag. INSTALL=2_
      Case sensitive

If this could be changed it would make installation much easier.

      1. Actually, you can just copy the files onto a directory called RemixOS (or maybe it was Remix, I don’t run it anymore). Optionally, you can use a directory for /data rather than an image so that you can more easily share files and not be limited to a fixed size.

  7. Great work. But is there a way to enable hdmi audio, I’m using the 64bit version. This would really be a big accomplishment if this is possible.

    1. You have a highly valid point… but, as a matter of fact, HDMI audio is currently the biggest bug in the source of Android x86 as of now…and the people behind Android x86 are working on it…We will need to wait until then.

    I wish 2 things:
    – make it possible to install and change launcher
    – make huawei usb dongle detectable and we can connect using them
